Data protection statement Übersetzer Gruppe Zürich GmbH
It is very important to us that we protect and keep secure all the personal data that you entrust to us when visiting our website. This document tells you more about how we use and process your data.
Legal basis & basic principles
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act serve to protect personal data under the law. We only process your data in accordance with the legal provisions.
The term “personal data” describes any information that could be used to identify you. That includes your name, address, telephone number and email address.
We need the personal data that we collect in order to fulfil the contract (processing your order and charging for it) and to contact you (customer service). If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will also use your email address to send that out to you. Your data will be collected, saved, processed and used for these purposes.
The legal grounds on which we process your personal data are, on the one hand, contract fulfilment and our legitimate interests and, on the other, your consent.
Every visit to our website is recorded in a server log (protocol) by our web hosting provider, hosttech GmbH, in order to carry out statistical analysis of accesses to our website and correct faults more efficiently. The log entries contain the page visited, the IP address and the referrer (originator of the enquiry) and information about the browser that was used. It would be possible for this information to be used to identify you. hosttech GmbH treats this data as confidential and does not share it with third parties. The data is collected primarily to improve the user experience and in the interest of the security and performance of the website.
We process your personal data, if required, throughout our business relationship (from arranging the contract through to processing and completing it), and afterwards, in accordance with legal, constitutional and contractual retention requirements and documentation obligations. Such data is password-protected and only accessible to authorised persons.
In performing our services, we commission software service providers and agencies that may gain access to your personal data in the course of their work, in the event that they require that data in order to fulfil their task.
We only use your personal data for the purposes referred to above. Your data will never be passed on to any other third parties without your explicit consent. If we are obliged to do so by law or court order, we will forward your data to authorities entitled to receive it.
Contact form
If you send us an enquiry using our contact form, your data from the contact form, including the contact details which you enter there, will be retained by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
We will not share this data without your consent.
Cookies
Internet cookies are small data files that are placed on the hard disc of your computer by your browser. We use cookies on our website. Such cookies are essential for enabling you to move around our website freely and use all its features; this includes, for example, accessing secure areas of the website. Cookies are also necessary for technical reasons to enable the shopping basket to function correctly when placing orders.
By using our website you give consent for us to use cookies.
Most browsers are set up so they accept cookies automatically. However, you can deactivate the saving of cookies or set up your browser so that it notifies you whenever cookies are being sent.
If you decide not to accept certain technical and/or functional cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted. Some cookies remain saved on your device until you delete them.
Protection of minors
We never process the data of minors and are not authorised to do so. By giving your consent, you are confirming that you are over the age of 18 or that you have the consent of your legal representative.
Links to other websites
Our online presence includes links to other websites. We have no influence over whether the operators of those websites comply with data protection requirements.
Google Web Fonts
This page uses Google Web Fonts to ensure the consistent depiction of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache, in order to display text and fonts correctly.
However, to do this, the browser you are using does not connect to Google’s servers but instead accesses hosttech’s servers in Switzerland. This means that Google does not have any knowledge of the fact that your IP address called up our website.
We use Google Web Fonts to ensure that the appearance of our online presence is consistent and attractive. If your browser does not support web fonts, your computer will use a standard font.
Google Maps
This site uses an API from the mapping service Google Maps. The service provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
In order for you to use Google Maps functions, your IP address has to be saved. This information is normally sent to a Google server in the USA and saved there. The provider of this site has no influence over this data transmission.
Google Maps is used to ensure that the appearance of our online presence is attractive and to make it easy for you to locate places shown on our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6, paragraph 1 letter f of the GDPR.
You can find more information about handling user data in Google’s data protection statement: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
Getting information and correcting, deleting and blocking your data
You have the right to access information free of charge about your saved personal data, its origins and recipients and the purpose of any data processing, and you also have the right to correct, block or delete that data. Regarding this or any other aspect of personal data, you can contact us at any time using the address given in the Legal information section.
Please note that it may take several working days to process such enquiries.
If your data cannot be deleted because of legal or contractual retention periods under commercial or tax law, or for any other reason enshrined in law, your data may only be blocked rather than deleted.
Data protection laws
Our partners have made a commitment to us to comply with legal data protection requirements. They have signed order processing contracts in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. You can request further information about the processors whom we use by sending an email to info@ugz.ch.
Protecting your data is very important to us. That is why we take technical and organisational security measures to protect saved personal data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss or destruction and from access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are regularly reviewed and improved in line with technological progress.
