Computers read our thoughts and talk to us. As a modern translation agency, UGZ uses state-of-the-art translation programs which support the translation process, so-called CAT tools. CAT stands for computer-aided translation. CAT tools must not be confused with online or machine translation programs and only professional translators know how to use them to best effect. We use the three leading translation programs on the market:
- memoQ
- SDL Trados Studio
- STAR Transit NXT
This kind of translation software cleverly segments the text and archives the translations in what is called the Translation Memory (TM). It also simplifies terminology and project management. In addition, we use our own project management program XTRF for managing, allocating and archiving jobs and this includes provision of a customer portal.
